Mexico won’t be able to walk away now…
President Donald Trump warned that tariffs were still on the table if Mexico’s government failed to agree to try to stop immigrants.
“I am pleased to inform you that The United States of America has reached a signed agreement with Mexico,” Trump announced. He said, “[t]he Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended.” The exact details of this deal have not yet been released.
Trump wrote on Twitter that despite promises from the Mexican government, “if for any reason the approval” from the Mexican government “is not forthcoming, Tariffs will be reinstated.”
….We do not anticipate a problem with the vote but, if for any reason the approval is not forthcoming, Tariffs will be reinstated!
