3 churches and four hotels have been targeted in evil and deplorable bombings that occurred on Easter Day.

The government of Sri Lanka has declared a curfew for its citizens as well as restricting access to social media sites in response to the devastating attacks.

A police official shared with Reuters that 50 people lost their lives after St. Sebastian’s Catholic church after it was targeted.

The media reported that 25 more were killed at an evangelical church in Batticaloa.

Shangri-La Colombo, Cinnamon Grand Colombo and Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo were all hotels that were targeted, casualties from those attacks have yet to be reported.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe called for an emergency meeting of the national security council at his home in response.

“I strongly condemn the cowardly attacks on our people today. I call upon all Sri Lankans during this tragic time to remain united and strong,” Wickremesinghe said in a Tweet.

“Please avoid propagating unverified reports and speculation. The government is taking immediate steps to contain this situation.”

Currently the government estimates the violence has led to 138 deaths and 400 wounded.

  1. The ever increasing refusal of God under the guise of Religious hatred are no more than a violation of one of the Ten Commandments that Mohamed brought down to the Israelites. These people will do anything say anything in an effort to steal everything that is rightfully yours. Don’t let them destroy your belief in God,

  2. I think it will soon be necessary for a country to take steps including exile of its entire Muslim population due to the terrorist acts. For hundreds of years certain countries including Spain, Russia, and Germany have either exiled or murdered Jews. Why then, do they feel they can’t do anything against those who are causing so much damage? Will they continue to put up with these mass murders of their own citizens just to avoid criticism by others? Those who are deported can put the blame for their exile where it belongs; on the terrorists among their own kind.
