It’s all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.
One Florida teen is learning that following internet trends aren’t all they’re cracked up to be after a Facebook challenge got him arrested, by his own mother.
Michael Corley posted to Facebook that he would participate in the “Facebook Egg Challenge” if his post got enough likes.
The challenge involves finding an unsuspecting victim and then cracking a raw egg on their head.
Corley got his likes and proceeded to carry out the challenge against his mother, which is where things all went wrong.
Apparently the teen had been recently grounded from his Playstation for poor grades and resentment may have played a role in his choice of victim.
Corley didn’t break the egg on his mother’s head but did crack it upon on her. Disgusted, his mother swatted him in the back of the head with an open hand.
But the 6-foot-2 teen didn’t not react well and retaliated by throwing his mother against the kitchen counter, causing her to lacerate her back. Corley claims to have just been started by the slap and to have knocked his mother over by accident.
His mother however didn’t but it and had him arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
