Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on Twitter to slam Fox News host Laura Ingraham after the congresswoman perceived Ingraham as mocking her racial identity. However, in typical AOC fashion, she doesn’t have her facts straight.
During a segment of “The Ingraham Angle,” Ingraham was joined by guest Joe Digenova as they discussed the way Ocasio-Cortez pronounced her name. It was posed that AOC does “the Latina thing” when it comes to pronouncing her name.
The freshman representative took issue with this and sounded off on Ingraham via Twitter.
AOC went off:
“If by ‘the Latina thing,’ she means I actually do the work instead of just talk about it, then yeah, I’m doing ‘the Latina thing.’ Unless of course she‘s talking about being multilingual, which we know isn’t a ‘Latina thing.’ It’s a ‘21st century’ thing.”
The problem here is that Ingraham never made that remark. It was Digenova who made the remark. He also admitted that he also had a specific way of pronouncing his name.

Even though the post from Ocasio-Cortez is full of false outrage over misinformation, it is still up and has been retweeted over 22,000 times.
