Things keep looking worse for disgraced actor Jussie Smollett. He recently went before a grand jury in Chicago that handed down a decision that doesn’t bode well for his future.
Reporting from ABC-7 shows that the jury handed down 16 indictments due to the series of reports he gave to police.
Initially, the actor only faced one count of felony disorderly conduct for after the Chicago PD declared they had evidence of a false report.
The grand jury obviously thought that was far too lenient and now Smollett could get up to four years behind bars for each count.
Despite these developments, the actor still claims that he did not orchestrate the attack and that he was beaten as the victim of a racist, homophobic hate crime.
