The Democratic presidential nomination is becoming more and more like a reality show contest than a political election. As March begins another candidate has thrown his name in the ring.

This time former governor of Colorado, John Hickenlooper announced that his diverse and successful background makes him and ideal candidate for 2020.

“I’m running for president because we need dreamers in Washington, but we also need to get things done,” Hickenlooper claims in his campaign video. “I’ve proven again and again I can bring people together to produce the progressive change Washington has failed to deliver.”

Hickenlooper can be credited for Colorado’s leading state economy and faced numerous hardships during his time as governor including, droughts, wildfires, floods and public shootings.

Time will tell if the former governor can edge out his Democratic rivals to take on President Trump.
