The Department of Defense made a new declaration regarding future plans for border security over the weekend.
It was released that the Pentagon would be reenforcing border agents by sending an additional 3,750 troops to the southwest.
This would more than double the number of U.S. forces at the border bringing the count up to 4,350 active duty members.
The deadline for politicians to agree on spending for wall funding is approaching rapidly. If a deal isn’t reached President Trump has signified that he would be willing to declare a national emergency to get the job done.
These troops could be a precursor to that action.
